When One Door Closes, Another One Opens

Welcome to The Portal! In the upcoming months, The Portal will be your source of information about Portus 2008: A Harry Potter Symposium. In just a few short days, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be released, and the canon will be complete. For scholars and fans, however, the journey will continue for scholars and fans through the exploration of unanswered mysteries at Portus. We hope to see you there!

Magically Yours,
Bekki Olivieri
Minister of Magic, Portus 2008

We will be having a variety of wizardly activities starting at 8:00 PM - they include house sorting, a Dragon tattoo shop (don’t worry, they’re temporary), and making wands and picture frames.

Plan to stick around for the only Barnes & Noble Wizard Rock event in the DFW area. The concert begins at 10:00 PM and features local Wizard Rock bands Thomas & Finnigan and The Owl Post.

Prophecy 2007

If you haven’t already, check out HPEF, Inc.’s upcoming symposium, Prophecy 2007: From Hero to Legend, taking place this August in Toronto, Canada. Reflecting on the prophecy that created The Boy Who Lived, Prophecy 2007 looks to be an amazing event to cap off the Summer of Potter.
